Feeling Fall Green
I recently came across portraits taken several years ago by Alison Scarpulla. I noticed something: the stance looks toward the background, toward the green tones – as if gazing back to peer ahead.
The season of golds and reds has me, paradoxically, thinking of green.
In many ways, it’s related to how I currently feel green, or emergent. I’ve been practicing how to respond to old patterns in creative work – and how I relate to the world (which mirrors the creative process) – with new clarity and intention.
In that spirit of reflection and renewal, here are some ways I’ve explored feelings of green over time.
