n the early 2000s I worked as an invitations consultant at Paper Source in Chicago. Part of my training and development included access to workshops, such as calligraphy, which continue to inform my art practice today. Beyond letterforms, I love how graceful calligraphic lines mirror dance gestures. I like the way my arm and hand moves when I make them, and I’m interested in how they activate painted shapes on paper.
